No purchase is necessary to enter any contest conducted by Classic Hits 92.5 KVPI or KVPI The Legend 107.3 FM & 1050 AM (collectively referred to as “KVPI”).
Some KVPI contests may have specific rules that amend or supplement these general contest rules. Any specific rules will be announced on the applicable KVPI station and/or made available in connection with the contest. Only one winner per household is permitted per contest unless otherwise specified. Any prize awarded to an ineligible participant will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be selected.
Anytime you call the KVPI studios, you acknowledge that your call may be broadcast live or recorded, and you grant KVPI permission to broadcast or use the recording at a later time.
By participating in and/or winning a KVPI contest, you grant KVPI permission to use your voice, name, likeness, and/or photograph for promotional, broadcast, advertising, or Internet purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
Prizes are not redeemable for cash and are not transferable. No substitution of a prize will be made at the request of the winner. KVPI reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or similar value.
All contest winners are solely responsible for any federal, state, and local taxes associated with prizes awarded. Winners of prizes valued at $600 or more may be required to complete appropriate tax forms before claiming the prize. Winners will receive applicable federal tax documentation as required by law.
In the event a winner is subject to any order or legal process issued by a governmental agency having jurisdiction over the affairs of the winner, including but not limited to garnishment, child support orders, judgments, or liens, KVPI's delivery of the prize to the official representative of the governmental entity claiming a legal right to the prize shall be deemed fulfillment of KVPI's obligation to award the prize. KVPI shall be entitled to rely in good faith upon documents presented by the representative seeking to collect the prize in lieu of the winner and shall not be liable for any claim by the winner for damages arising from such action.
Unless otherwise specified in the individual contest rules, KVPI contests are open to eligible U.S. residents age 18 or older. Contestants may be required to present a valid form of government-issued photo identification acceptable to KVPI before a prize is awarded.
Unless otherwise noted, winners are expected to claim their prizes at the KVPI studios located at 809 West LaSalle Street, Ville Platte, Louisiana, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Prizes must be claimed within 30 days of notification unless a different deadline or prize expiration date is specifically stated.
Employees of KVPI and Ville Platte Broadcasting Company, Inc., as well as their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, and employees and immediate family members of each, are not eligible to participate in or win KVPI contests. Employees of other mass media organizations within a 100-mile radius of KVPI are also ineligible. Immediate family includes spouses, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, siblings, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and the employee's spouse, as well as individuals for whom the employee is a current legal guardian.
All applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Contests are void where prohibited by law.
KVPI reserves the right to disqualify any participant or winner who violates these general contest rules or any specific rules associated with a contest.
KVPI and Ville Platte Broadcasting Company, Inc. assume no liability for any situation, repair, injury, loss, damage, or incident arising from any aspect of a prize awarded in connection with a contest. KVPI, Ville Platte Broadcasting Company, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees, and representatives shall be held harmless from any action or liability arising from participation in any contest or the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize, to the extent permitted by law.
As an FCC licensee and trustee of the public airwaves, KVPI reserves the right to interrupt, modify, suspend, or discontinue any contest or promotion, and, when appropriate, not award the offered prize, at the discretion of KVPI management if world events, emergencies, public safety concerns, technical issues, or other circumstances warrant such action.
KVPI reserves the right to amend the rules of any contest at any time, subject to applicable law. All decisions made by KVPI management regarding contests, eligibility, and winners are final.
For any contest requiring entry by telephone, participants must use the telephone number designated for that specific contest. Unless otherwise specified, the contest phone number is (337) 506-2444. KVPI's determination of the winning caller is final.
KVPI assumes no responsibility for a participant's failure to enter, win, receive notification, or claim a prize due to telephone, facsimile, email, Internet, website, technical, equipment, service provider, or other difficulties or circumstances beyond KVPI's reasonable control.
